Opening day is colder than the schedule makes it sound: wind straight across an open field, rain that cannot decide, and half the sideline still working out what a faceoff violation is. This page covers the off-field half of a lacrosse program: hoodies, practice shirts, warm-ups, coach polos and family gear. We print shirts and sweatshirts. We do not make mesh pinnies, reversible practice jerseys or game uniforms, so plan those through your uniform supplier.
New programs starting from nothing
Lacrosse adds teams faster than it adds traditions. Plenty of programs are in their first or second year: no closet of leftover spirit wear, no logo file, and nobody who owns "the design." That is the easiest case to solve here, because you do not need artwork to start.
Describe it to Remi, the chat designer at /design, in plain English: "a second-year girls' program called the Wexley Otters, navy shirt, an otter holding a stick in its paws, team name arched above in white block letters." Refine it by chatting ("thicker letters," "try it on Forest Green," "drop the water lines"), and see it on the hoodie or tee before you pay. Designing is free. Whatever you land on becomes the file next season starts from, and REORDER10 takes something off when you come back as a returning customer (it does not stack with a bulk price, and the order gets whichever takes more off).
Original themes work best: a crossed-stick mark, an animal, a ridge outline or a monogram belongs to you, where a college or pro logo does not.
Youth club, high school and the parents around both
- Youth and club programs (U9 through U15): most players are in youth sizes, families are the biggest part of the order, and the shirt doubles as the game-day school shirt.
- High school teams: players are in adult sizes, the athletic department may pay by purchase order, and the shirt has to look like the school.
- Club travel teams: a tournament shirt with the event and year, worn all weekend.

Practice: performance tee instead of a pinnie
Practice pinnies are mesh, and we do not sell them. What we do sell is the shirt a player wears under or instead of one. The Performance Tee is 100% polyester and moisture-wicking, so it stays light through two hours of ground balls instead of hanging heavy by the end. It prints by DTF, which keeps color bright and edges crisp on slick fabric, front and back. Bulk prices come off automatically: the Performance Tee is $18.77 each at 12 or more, and the Youth Performance Tee is $18.28 at 12 or more and $16.51 at 24 or more. It comes in Navy, Royal, Red, Black, White, Maroon, Purple, Forest Green, Kelly Green, Gold, Carolina Blue, Orange, Silver and Iron Gray. Performance shirts has more on the fabric.
A tight budget can use the cotton Adult Tee at $14.38 for practice instead. It gets heavier when soaked, which matters less for a short session or a cold one.
Warm-ups and travel days
The hoodie is the warm-up layer for most programs: pulled on in the bus, off at the whistle. The Adult Hoodie is an 8 oz heavy blend with a pouch pocket and a lined hood, printing on the front, back and both sleeves; the Youth Hoodie prints front and back. Both come in all 13 colors. A sleeve on the Adult Hoodie is a good place for a short vertical word like "Ride" or the program's founding year.
The Adult Long Sleeve runs small, so size up one; it does not print on the sleeves.
Program name, names and numbers
Put the program name on the chest, and each player's name and number on the back if you want the sideline to read it. Names and numbers print free from a pasted team roster: one player per line with name, number and size, up to 80 players on one list per shirt color, and the sizes are counted from the list. Names print exactly as typed, so check spelling before you pay. A names list ships by the faster service for free.
- The first surface is included in the price, so names and numbers on an otherwise blank shirt are the shirt's price.

Family and sideline gear
The family order is usually the biggest one, and it is optional by nature. Some people want the matching hoodie; some want a tee with their kid's number; one grandmother wants a single hoodie mailed two states away. With no minimum, all of those are real orders, and every US order ships free.
Parents who want their own player's number under the left-chest logo of a tee or hoodie pay nothing for it either, since it shares the front with the logo; with the front printed, their player's name and number on the back is the usual one extra surface. Names and numbers are free on every shirt, one player or the whole roster.
Sideline wording that works: "Lax Mom," "Lax Dad," "Ground Ball Grandpa," "Riverwood Lacrosse Est. 2025," or the player's number with "My Favorite Middie" above it. Booster sales and fundraising
A free group storefront lets each family order and pay at the listed price, shipped to their home, and the group earns 10% of storefront sales (school fundraiser shirts). Design for a muddy field
Lacrosse gear is read from far away, in motion, often through rain. Use big, heavy lettering, one strong color hit (white or gold on Navy), and dark shirts that hide mud: Navy, Black, Forest Green and Maroon survive a wet April far better than White. The Youth Tee does not come in Gold, Orange or Carolina Blue, so if the program color is one of those, put younger players in the Youth Hoodie or Youth Performance Tee, which do. Sizes and counting
Youth and adult sizes are not one continuous scale, so size by fit rather than age; a tall twelve-year-old may fit an adult small better than a youth XL (youth XL vs adult small). Players wearing a hoodie over shoulder pads on the sideline often size up one.
For the family order, send a sizes link: each person enters who the shirt is for and their size, up to 300 answers, no account needed, and nothing is paid on the link. One button adds the answers to your order (collect shirt sizes). Add one or two spares in the middle sizes for the late registration.
Timeline: count back from opening day
Spring rosters settle late, and because everything is printed to order by US print-on-demand partners, you can wait until the list is real, but not too long.
- Five weeks or more before the first game is comfortable.
- Four weeks fits with little slack on free economy shipping.
- Three weeks is tight.
Production takes up to 10 business days after checkout, then transit, typically 4 to 8 business days with free economy shipping or 2 to 5 with faster shipping where offered. There is no rush printing, and the cart shows expected arrival dates before you pay. For a March opener, plan on ordering in late January or early February. How to order with Remi
Open the designer and tell Remi what you want ("navy hoodie, Riverwood Lacrosse arched across the chest with a pine tree, white ink, player number on the back") or upload your logo as a PNG or SVG. Refine it by chat, paste the roster, check the mockup on each garment and color, and pay at checkout. High school programs can download a quote PDF from the cart, good for 30 days, and pay by invoice with a PO (quotes and purchase orders).
Questions lacrosse coaches and parents ask
Do you make practice pinnies or game jerseys?
No. We print tees, performance tees, long sleeves, hoodies, crewnecks and polos. For practice, the Performance Tee is the closest thing: light, quick-dry polyester printed with the program name and, if you like, numbers.
Are names and numbers really free?
The lettering is. A number under a left-chest logo shares the front and adds nothing. A back with names and numbers beside a printed front is one extra surface.
When should we order for a March season?
Late January or early February. Production takes up to 10 business days, then transit, and there is no rush printing.
What if a hoodie arrives misprinted?
Send a photo within 30 days of delivery for a reprint or refund. A size ordered wrong is not returnable, so check the size guide first.
