Shipping Policy

Shipping is free on every US order. Production time, transit time, and what happens when a parcel is late, lost, or sent to the wrong address.

1. Shipping at a glance

Topic Policy
Where The 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, military APO/FPO/DPO addresses and PO boxes. No international shipping yet
Cost Free on every order, no minimum. Further addresses add the extra postage of their parcels and the card processing fee on it, rounded up to the next price ending in .99 (see shipping is free)
Production Up to 10 business days to print and finish
Transit Typically 4 to 8 business days within the 48 contiguous states by free economy shipping, after printing, and 2 to 5 by the faster service; longer to Alaska, Hawaii, the territories and military addresses (see where we ship)
Faster shipping Offered at checkout on most orders, for the most it can cost us over free shipping plus the card processing fee, rounded up to the next price ending in .99. For the 48 contiguous states, and named that way at checkout; elsewhere the parcel ships the free way and the upgrade is refunded without you asking (see shipping is free)
Guaranteed dates Not offered, unless we commit to one in writing
Arrival dates Worked out for your order from typical times and shown in your cart before you pay; estimates, not promises
Parcels One per address, up to ten addresses per order. Screen-printed items ship to one address, as a parcel of their own
Tracking Emailed when each parcel ships
Lost parcels Reprinted or refunded once the carrier confirms the loss

2. Two clocks, not one

Custom apparel is printed after you pay, so there are two waits and people usually only count the second one:

  1. Production - up to 10 business days to print and finish your order.
  2. Transit - typically 4 to 8 business days within the 48 contiguous states once the parcel ships, by the free economy shipping most orders take, and 2 to 5 by the faster service, which faster shipping buys and some orders get for free. This is the carrier's estimate, not a promise.

Your cart adds the two up for you. Under the checkout button it shows the dates your order should arrive, worked out for what is in it: up to 10 business days of production, then the typical transit time of the slowest item by the shipping it will take, counted in business days from today in Pacific time and skipping weekends and the federal holidays the carriers keep. Where faster shipping is offered, the cart also shows its price and the date it brings the order by.

Three things can make an order arrive after those dates:

  1. Carriers can run past their typical times. The cart counts the typical transit for the way your order ships: up to 8 business days by economy, and up to 5 where it ships the faster way.
  2. A large order or a holiday rush can run past the production window (see estimates are estimates).
  3. The dates assume an address in the 48 contiguous states. Alaska, Hawaii, the territories and military addresses take longer (see where we ship).

Like everything on this page, the dates are estimates. If you have a date to meet, plan around the later one and leave a buffer after it.

A "3 day shipping" label describes the second clock only. If you need something by a date, count both, and tell us the date before you order so we can say honestly whether it is achievable. Our ordering deadlines guide helps you plan backwards from an event.

3. Estimates are estimates

Production and transit times are estimates, not commitments. Larger orders, mixed garment orders, and holiday periods all run longer. We do not offer guaranteed delivery dates, and we will not promise one in order to win an order.

If a date genuinely matters - a game, a fundraiser, a first day of school - ask us in writing at service@aipromodesign.com first. If we commit to a date in writing and miss it because of us, that is on us. A carrier delay after we shipped on time is not something we can control, and neither of us can fix it by arguing about it afterwards.

4. Where we ship

Anywhere in the United States, and nowhere else yet. Some destinations take longer to reach, and the table says by how much.

Destination Accepted What to expect
The 48 contiguous states Yes The usual production and transit times
Alaska and Hawaii Yes Allow 7 to 12 extra business days in transit
Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands Yes Allow 7 to 12 extra business days in transit
Military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO) Yes Sent by USPS; delivery can take 15 to 30 business days, and tracking usually stops updating at the military hub while the parcel keeps moving
PO boxes Yes Delivered by USPS. A street address is more reliable, so use one if you can
Outside the US Not yet Checkout does not accept an international address

At checkout, choose United States as the country for all of these, then pick the territory - Puerto Rico, Guam and so on - as the state. For a military address, enter the city as APO, FPO or DPO and the state as AA, AE or AP. Delivery to a remote or military address still counts from the day the order ships, so plan for it if you have a date to meet - see two clocks above.

5. Shipping is free

Shipping within the United States is free on every order, with no minimum. Most orders ship free by economy post, typically 4 to 8 business days in transit. Orders with a names list, large garment orders that go to our bulk print partner, and the few items with no economy service ship free by the faster service instead, typically 2 to 5. With free shipping, an order going to one address has no shipping line at checkout because there is nothing to put in it - the price you see on the product is the price you pay, plus sales tax where it applies.

Free means free to you, not free to us. Shipping is built into the product price, which is why the prices are what they are. We would rather show you one honest number than a low one that grows with a shipping charge at checkout. For an order going to one address, the only thing checkout adds is sales tax where the law requires it, worked out from your shipping address and shown before you pay - unless you choose faster shipping.

Apart from faster shipping, the one thing that adds a shipping charge is sending parts of an order to more than one address (see one parcel per address). The first address ships free as usual. The others add what their separate parcels cost to post on top of one parcel, plus the card processing fee on that amount, rounded up to the next price ending in .99. For example, two adult tees sent to two addresses cost $1.90 more to post than one parcel would, so the second address adds $1.99. Your cart shows the amount before you pay, and checkout shows it as one shipping line.

Faster shipping. Most orders can be sent by the faster service, chosen at checkout beside the free shipping. It costs the most the faster service can cost us over the free one for what is in your order, plus the card processing fee on that amount, rounded up to the next price ending in .99, and your cart shows the price and the earlier arrival date before you pay. Faster shipping is for the 48 contiguous states, and checkout names it "Faster shipping (48 contiguous states)": if you choose it for an order going to Alaska, Hawaii, a US territory or a military address, the order ships the free way, because the free service can already be the faster one there, and we refund what faster shipping added, without you asking, and email you to say so. An order going to several addresses sends every parcel in the 48 contiguous states the faster way, for one price; a parcel going anywhere else ships the free way and gets its part of that price back the same way. Faster shipping shortens the transit only: printing still takes up to 10 business days. Orders that already ship the faster way for free have nothing to upgrade, so checkout offers no choice for them. Screen-printed items always ship the free way: on an order with them, faster shipping is priced for the other items and speeds up their parcel only. If you need something by a date, read the two clocks above and ask us first.

6. One parcel per address

Everything going to one address is printed in the same place and ships together, which is also why the colors match across a mixed set. The one exception is screen printing: screen-printed items are made by our screen-printing partner and ship as a parcel of their own, with their own tracking email, so an order of screen-printed and full-color items arrives in two parcels. Screen-printed items go to one address, so an order with them ships to one address only.

You can send parts of one order to different addresses, up to ten in all, from Shipping to more than one address? in your cart. Each address gets its own parcel and its own tracking. A parcel to a further address is a print order of its own, so it can come from a different print partner and arrive on a different day, and it adds the extra postage of a separate parcel, worked out as shipping is free explains - the cart shows the amount before you pay. Any item with a names list, such as shirts with names and numbers or mugs with a name on each, goes to one address whole.

7. Getting the address right

We print and ship to the address you enter at checkout, and to any further addresses you add in your cart. Please check them before paying, particularly the apartment or unit number.

  • If you spot a mistake before production starts, email service@aipromodesign.com immediately and we will fix it or cancel and refund.
  • Once an order is in production the address is locked in with the print partner.
  • If a parcel is delivered to an address you gave us, we cannot recover it and cannot reprint it free of charge. We will always help you try.

8. Late, lost, damaged and stolen

  • Late in transit. Carriers occasionally hold parcels. Tracking usually starts moving again on its own; give it a few days before treating it as lost.
  • Confirmed lost. If the carrier confirms a parcel as lost, we reprint or refund it. See the Returns and Refund Policy.
  • Arrived damaged. Email service@aipromodesign.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we reprint or refund it, as set out in the Returns and Refund Policy.
  • Marked delivered but missing. This is the hardest case, because the carrier considers its job done. Check with everyone at the address and with neighbors first, then email service@aipromodesign.com and we will open a carrier enquiry with you. We cannot guarantee an outcome on a parcel the carrier has recorded as delivered.

9. Tracking

You get a tracking number as soon as the order ships. Until then there is nothing to track, because nothing has been printed yet - that is normal and not a sign anything is wrong.

The tracking number comes in our shipping email, and your order's page - the link is in your confirmation email - shows where the order is.

10. Returned or undeliverable parcels

If a parcel comes back to the print partner as undeliverable, we will contact you. Reshipping costs the postage again, since the garments are already printed and cannot be resold.
