It prints on the front, the back and both sleeves, and the print is applied by DTG (printed into the fabric, stays soft) or DTF (printed on a film and heat-pressed, bright and crisp), whichever the print provider uses for your order. Describing a hoodie to Remi

You do not need artwork. Remi, the chat designer at /design, works from a sentence, and the more of these four things you say, the closer the first draft lands: the words, the picture or style, where it goes, and the hoodie color. A few examples of what people type:

Hoodie-specific design advice

A hoodie is not a big t-shirt. The pocket, the cords and the hood all change where a design reads well.

The front: design above the pocket

The pouch pocket covers the lower front, and its stitched edges break up anything printed across them. Treat the space between the collar seam and the top of the pocket as your front canvas. A centered chest design or a left-chest mark sits cleanly there. A tall design that would run down to the hem on a tee needs to be shortened, or moved to the back.

The drawcords hang over the upper chest

The two cords fall from the hood opening down the top of the chest, right where a centered name tends to go. A thin line of text at collar height can disappear behind them. Two easy fixes: start the design a little lower so the main word sits below where the cords end, or use a left-chest placement that stays off to the side. Bold, chunky lettering survives the cords better than fine script.

The back is the big panel

The back of a hoodie is the largest open area and nothing covers it except the hood when it is down, which drapes over the top few inches. Start a back design a hand's width below the collar so the hood does not sit on the first line. The back is the place for a full illustration, a team name with a mascot, a trip itinerary or a list of names.

Sleeves (Adult Hoodie only)

The Adult Hoodie can carry a print on either or both sleeves. A sleeve suits a short vertical word, a year, a small icon or a website. Keep it narrow and simple; it wraps around the arm and is read from the side. The Youth Hoodie does not print on sleeves, so in a mixed adult and youth order, put anything that matters on the front or back.

The hood

The hood itself is not a print surface. If you want something near the head, the top of the back panel is the closest you can go.

Color on heavy fleece

Fleece shows contrast well. Light ink on a dark hoodie (white or gold on Navy, Black or Maroon) and dark ink on Sport Gray or White read from across a gym. Thin pale lines on a mid-tone like Royal or Carolina Blue can fade into the fabric; ask Remi to add an outline or thicken the strokes. The color guide has more pairings.

Adult vs youth hoodies

Youth and adult sizing is not one continuous scale, so size by fit rather than by age. A tall twelve-year-old may be happier in an adult S than a Youth XL. When to order

Hoodie season comes all at once: the first cold football game, the start of winter sports, the holiday break. Count back from the day you want people wearing them. Production takes up to 10 business days after checkout, then transit, and the cart shows the expected delivery dates before you pay. Collecting sizes and counting

For a group, send a sizes link from /collect-shirt-sizes: each person picks their size, nobody needs an account, and one button adds the answers to your order. The link records who each size is for, so handing out the box on the day is quick. Order one or two extra in the most common size for the late joiner or the coach who forgot to answer.

Care

Wash the hoodie inside out in cold water and tumble dry low or hang it to dry. Skip the iron on the print. That keeps the print and the fleece looking new longer; the full routine is in print care and washing.
