Privacy Policy

What AI Promo Design collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, the cookies we use, and your US privacy rights, including in California.

Last updated: October 7, 2026.

1. Who we are

AI Promo Design ("we") is operated from the United States by Kinor LLC, a California limited liability company. AI Promo Design is a working name and may change; if it does, this policy carries over to the renamed business.

This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, design in the designer or place an order, and what we do with it. The Terms of Service cover everything else.

2. What we collect

  • Design inputs. Text prompts you type and images you upload, so we can generate and print your design.
  • The designs the designer makes. A copy of each design the designer makes, with the description it was made from and the product it was for, whether or not you order it. It is kept with a one-way code in place of your internet address, and with your account if you are signed in. This is what our design gallery is chosen from; see section 3 of the Terms of Service.
  • Names and numbers lists. If you add names or numbers to a design - a team roster, a class list - we keep the list with the design and the order, because that is what gets printed. It often holds other people's names, including children's, so only enter names you are allowed to put on a shirt.
  • Sizes links. An organizer can make a link that collects names and sizes for a group order: a team, a school's parents, a company's staff, a church's members. There are three kinds. On a link for names to print, we keep the name and number to print and the size, your email address, which the form requires, and your name if you give it. On a link that collects sizes alone, nothing is printed; we keep the size, the name of the person it is for, which the form requires, and your email address. On a link that counts heads for an item that comes in one size in its color, such as a tote, a cap, a notebook or the tumbler, we keep the name of the person it is for and your email address, and no size. If the organizer invited people by email, we keep the addresses they gave us, when each was invited and reminded, and whether it has answered. The organizer who made the link sees all of this. Nobody else on the list sees anybody's answer or address. If you unsubscribe from size requests, we keep a one-way code of your address, not the address itself, so that no request is sent to it again.
  • Your account. If you create an account, Clerk holds your email address and any other sign-in details you give it (see section 5). We keep the designs you save to your account, and your cart with any further addresses you ship it to, so they are there on your next device. The cart's addresses come off once that order is paid.
  • Order information. Name, email, shipping address, phone number, and what you ordered. Checkout asks for a phone number because carriers want one on the shipping label; we use it only to get your order to you.
  • Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card; we never see or store the full card number.
  • Basic site analytics. Standard technical data such as pages viewed, browser type, and approximate region; which products are looked at, added to orders and bought; and sign-ins, new accounts and email sign-ups, with which button or form each came from.
  • Designing without an account. The first designs need no account. So that the free allowance cannot simply be used again and again, we count those designs against the internet address you connect from (for a newer IPv6 connection, the block of addresses your provider gives your home rather than the full address). We use it only to count.
  • Your organization's website. If you give the designer your school's, team's or business's website so it can pick up the logo and colors, we read that public site. We do not collect anything about you from it.
  • Your sharing choice. If you ordered through a group's storefront, whether you agreed to let that group see your name. Kept with the order, so the answer we act on is the one you gave.
  • Groups that run a storefront. If you set up a storefront for a school, team or club, we keep its name and settings and, so that we can pay the group its share, the group's legal name, the date its W-9 and agreement arrived, and the last four digits of its tax ID and bank account. We do not store the full numbers with the storefront.
  • Email sign-up. If you ask us to email you a 10% code, from the form at the foot of every page or by the checkout button, we keep your email address, where you signed up and when. Asking is your agreement to receive our offers: we email you the code and, from time to time, other offers, each with an unsubscribe link. If you had unsubscribed before, signing up turns offers back on. To stop the form being used to email strangers, we count sign-ups per internet connection for one day, kept as a one-way code rather than your IP address.
  • Discount codes and referrals. Which discount code you used, if any. A first-order code, such as WELCOME10 or a friend's code, is only for a first order, so when you enter one we ask for your email in the cart (filled in from your account when you are signed in) and check it against our past orders, and against your account's orders when you are signed in; that email then becomes the one for that order, and checkout will not let it be changed. We give every customer their own referral code, linked to their email. When somebody orders with your code, we record that their order came through it, and when it is their first order we email you a reward code. We do not tell you who they are or what they bought, and we tell them nothing about you beyond the code they were given.
  • Your conversations with the designer. What you type to Remi, our design assistant, and what she answers, so that a person on our team can see what you were working on, help you and follow up. If you are signed in, we keep the conversation with your account and its email address; if not, it is kept under a random code for that visit and is not tied to your name or email.
  • Sentences the designer could not handle. When the assistant fails to understand what you asked for, we keep that sentence so we can teach it. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped out before it is stored, it is not tied to your name, your email or your account, and we keep it only to improve the tool.
  • What you tell us when you ask for help. If you ask us to email or call you, we keep the address or number you give us and anything you write in the note, so that a person can get back to you.

3. Why we use it

To generate your design, print and ship your order, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the site. We use design prompts and uploads for the purpose of fulfilling your order and operating the service. We may also show designs made here, and the descriptions behind them, in our marketing - on our site and its example pages, in guides and emails, and on social media - under the license in section 3 of the Terms of Service. We never publish your name, contact details or order details with them, or names and numbers lists or photographs of real people you uploaded.

Print and deliver your order Your name, email, phone, shipping address and artwork
Email you about orders, and offers if you agreed Your email address and order details
Keep the free design allowance and sign-up form from being abused Your connection's internet address, or a one-way code of it

4. Emails we send

  • About your orders. When you place an order we email you a confirmation, a shipping notice with tracking once it is on its way, and a note if an order you paid for is canceled, or refunded in full while it is being printed. These are transactional: they are about something you bought, so we send them even if you have unsubscribed from our offers. The confirmation and the shipping notice also carry your referral link and a code for your next order, unless you have unsubscribed from our offers or unchecked the offers box when you paid.
  • Offers and reminders. These are promotional, and they include abandoned-cart reminders. If you reach the payment page, enter your email address and do not finish, we may send up to three reminders over about two weeks, each with a link back to what you had put together, so you can complete it or ignore it. Nothing is charged, and completing an order stops them, whether through that link or a new checkout. We send these only if you left the box agreeing to receive offers checked at checkout. When our payment processor shows that box, it starts checked for US shoppers; uncheck it and we will not send them. If you were not shown the box, we do not send them either. Leaving that box checked also puts your email address on our offers list, whether or not you finish the order, unless you have unsubscribed from our offers before; every offer has an unsubscribe link.
  • After you sign in. Signing in puts your account's email address on our list for offers and design ideas, and the sign-in window says so before you sign in. We may also write to you about a design you were working on. The "Unsubscribe" link in any of these emails takes you off the list, and signing in again does not put you back on it.
  • Your sign-up code. When you sign up for 10% off we email you the code. If that address has ordered with us before, the email carries the code for returning customers instead, because the first-order code would not work for it. We also email it once per account after you sign in, unless that address has unsubscribed or has already been sent one.
  • Sizes links. If an organizer invites you to a sizes link, we email you their request, with the item, the design and the link, under their name, and your replies go to them. We also send any reminders the organizer asks for: no more than three, and never two in one day. Taking your address off the link and adding it again does not start those over. However many organizers invite you, we send your address no more than two size requests and reminders a day and five a week. Each request has its own unsubscribe link, which stops size requests to your address from any organizer; unsubscribing from our emails stops them too. Being invited does not put you on any list of ours. When you answer, the form has a box, unticked, for saying you don't want our offers: leave it unticked and we may send you occasional offers, each with an unsubscribe link; tick it and we won't. Answering never turns offers back on for an address that unsubscribed, and if you later change the email on your answer, the address you first gave comes off the offers list again. An organizer signed in to their account is emailed at that account's address, when answers arrive or change and with a daily summary, unless they turn those off; each can be turned off on its own, in the link's panel or from a link in the email.
  • Referral rewards. When a friend's first order comes through your referral code, we email you a reward code. This is promotional: unsubscribing stops it, and the code still appears on your order page.
  • Unsubscribing. The footer of every email we send has a one-click "Unsubscribe" link. It stops our offers and reminders right away, and from then on we do not pass your address to Trustpilot for a review invitation. An invitation Trustpilot already has scheduled comes from them and carries its own unsubscribe link. Emails about orders you place still arrive.

5. Who we share it with

Only the vendors we need to run the service: our payment processor; our US print-and-fulfillment partners, who receive your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and artwork in order to print and ship; our hosting and storage providers; Google, whose Gemini AI model generates the artwork in the designer and so receives the descriptions you give it and any picture you ask it to improve, such as a logo you uploaded, and which also looks over a design and writes its description before it appears in our gallery; and Resend, which delivers the emails we send you and so handles your email address and what each email says. We do not sell your personal information.

Company What it does for us What it receives
Stripe Checkout, card payments and sales tax Your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, card details (entered with Stripe, not with us) and the order total
Printify and the print providers it works with Printing, packing and shipping your order Your name, email, phone, shipping address, artwork and names and numbers lists
Carriers Delivering the parcel Your name, shipping address and phone, from the print partner's label
Clerk Accounts and sign-in Your sign-in details, and the usual technical details from your browser
Google (Gemini) The AI model that makes artwork in the designer, and reviews designs for our gallery What you describe, and any picture you ask it to work on
Google Analytics Counting visits and sales Technical and shopping details, without your name or contact details
Resend Sending our emails Your email address and what each email says
Trustpilot Review invitations and reviews See below; only if we invite you
Google Customer Reviews Asking whether you would like a survey about your order, and showing our store rating See below
Cloudflare Runs the site and stores designs and uploads Everything the site handles, as our host
Microsoft Azure Stores order records and counters Order records, codes and design counters, as our storage provider
PatchDesign (patchdesign.ai) Reading an organization's website for its logo and colors, when you give us one The web address of that site only - nothing about you

Our hosting and storage are in the United States: Cloudflare stores designs and uploads in its western North America region, and Microsoft Azure keeps order records in its West US 2 region.

Accounts

Accounts are run by Clerk. Its script loads on our pages so that you can sign in from any of them, which means it receives the usual technical details any site you visit receives, such as your IP address and browser. If you create an account, Clerk holds the email address and any other sign-in details you give it, so that it can recognize you next time.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages people use and which products sell. Its script loads on our pages and sends Google technical details such as your IP address, browser, the pages you view and roughly where you are, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser rather than to your name. It also tells Google about shopping on the site: the products you look at, add to an order and take to checkout, with their colors, sizes, quantities and prices, and, once you have paid, our order number for the purchase and its total, shipping and tax. That last report is sent from our server, not your browser, so blocking the script does not stop it; it carries the same random identifier when your browser holds one, and none when it does not. It also counts sign-ins, new accounts and email sign-ups, with which button or form each came from - never the email address or which account it was. None of what Google Analytics receives includes your name, email address, phone number, shipping address or payment details, or what you type into the designer: where a page address would carry something you typed, such as a design description on its way to the designer or the email address in an unsubscribe link, we replace it with "(redacted)" before the address is sent to Google Analytics. That is separate from the designer itself, which sends what you describe to Google's Gemini to be turned into artwork, as described above. Google processes this under its own terms and privacy policy. Browser settings and extensions that block analytics work normally on this site; nothing here depends on the tag loading.

The site carries no advertising pixels from ad networks or social networks. Google Analytics is used for measurement only: Google signals is off, and the property is not linked to Google Ads or any other advertising account, so what it collects is not used to target ads at you.

Group storefronts

When you order through a group's own storefront - a PTA, a booster club, a team - that group can see what its storefront sold: the order number, the garments, the date and the amount. It does not see who you are unless you tell us it may. At checkout you will see a tick box, unticked, asking whether we may also give that group your name and email so they know the order is yours. Leave it alone and your order appears to them as Anonymous. Tick it and they see your name and email, and nothing else - not your address, not your card, not anything you typed into the designer.

That choice is recorded with the order and applies only to that order. Change your mind afterwards and email us; we will take your name off what the group can see.

We are not paid for this. Groups running a storefront earn a share of what it sells, and that share is the same whether you tick the box or not.

Reviews

We also use an independent review platform, Trustpilot. Its script loads on our pages, which means it can see the usual technical details any site you visit receives, such as your IP address and browser. If we invite you to review a purchase, we additionally give Trustpilot your email address, your name if we have it, and your order number, so that the invitation can be sent and the review tied to a real order. Reviews you write are published by Trustpilot under its own terms and privacy policy, and you can decline an invitation or unsubscribe from it. You can ask us not to send you one at all, and if you have unsubscribed from our offers, or unchecked the offers box when you paid for that order, we do not give Trustpilot your details for one.

We also use Google Customer Reviews. When you finish paying, the confirmation page gives Google your email address, your order number, the country the order ships to and the date we expect it to arrive, so that Google can ask, in its own window, whether you would like to rate your purchase. Google emails you a survey only if you say yes there, and only after the expected delivery date; your answers are handled by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. A badge showing our Google store rating may also appear on our pages; its script loads from Google and sees the usual technical details any site you visit receives, such as your IP address and browser.

When the law requires it

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer of the business if it is sold, in which case this policy carries over.

6. Cookies and your browser

We use cookies necessary to run the cart, checkout and sign-in; Clerk sets the ones that keep you signed in. If you open a friend's referral link, we set one more, apd_ref, holding only their code, so the code box in your cart is filled in for you; it lasts 60 days, and nothing else is stored in it. If you open a link in one of our offer emails, we keep apd_email in your browser's storage, holding only which email it was and which of its two versions you were sent, so we can tell which version brings people to the site and to an order; it lasts 30 days, and if you place an order in that time we note on our side which email it came from. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones, and our review platforms' scripts, Trustpilot's and Google's, may set their own when they load on a page.

Set by What for How long
Clerk Keeping you signed in Set by Clerk
Us: apd_ref Filling in a friend's referral code in your cart 60 days
Us: apd_email (browser storage) Telling which of our emails, and which version of it, brought a visit or an order 30 days
Google Analytics Telling repeat visits from new ones Set by Google
Trustpilot Its review widget and invitations Set by Trustpilot
Google Customer Reviews The survey opt-in and the store rating badge Set by Google

The designer also keeps your designs and your cart in your browser's own storage, so they are still there when you come back. If you are signed in, we also keep your cart with your account, so it is there when you sign in on another device, and an order you pay for is taken off it. The copy of each design we keep ourselves is described in section 2. A cart you build without signing in is cleared after 30 days, so a shared school or library computer does not show the next visitor your order. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it; designs saved to your account stay in your account. When you press a sign-in button, the browser tab notes which button it was and when, until you finish signing in, at most 30 minutes, for that count and so the designs and cart you made before signing in move into your account when the page comes back; your browser also remembers which sign-in it last counted so it is counted once. If the designer asks you to sign in before it makes a design, the tab keeps what you asked for, for 30 minutes, so it can offer to make it once you are signed in; it is sent to us only if you press the button.

7. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 7 years, which is what tax and accounting rules require. Designs and uploads are kept while your account or order is active, and deleted on request where we are not required to retain them.

Sentences the designer could not handle are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Requests to be contacted are kept until we have answered them and for a short period afterwards, in case you write back.

8. Security

We use the protections our providers build in: the site is served only over an encrypted connection, card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us, and passwords and sign-in are handled by Clerk, so we never hold your password. Where we only need to recognize something, we keep a one-way code of it rather than the thing itself. Each order's page is reached through a private link in your emails, so treat those links like a receipt.

No system is perfectly secure. If you think something is wrong with your account or an order, email service@aipromodesign.com.

If a breach ever exposes your personal information, we will tell you by email without unreasonable delay, as California law requires, saying what happened, what information was involved and what you can do.

9. Your choices

Email us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to ask us not to use your uploads beyond fulfilling your order. Residents of some US states have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor those requests regardless of where you live.

  • Offers and reminders: use the "Unsubscribe" link in any of our emails, or uncheck the offers box at checkout.
  • Review invitations: unsubscribing from offers also stops them, or ask us not to send one.
  • Group storefronts: leave the tick box unticked to stay Anonymous, or email us to take your name off an order.
  • Sizes links: change or remove your answer from the phone you sent it from until the organizer closes the list, tick the box on the form to get no offers from us, and use the unsubscribe link in a request to get no more size requests.
  • Designs in our marketing: email us to opt a design out, before or after you order.
  • Analytics: browser settings and extensions that block analytics work normally here.
  • Your account: ask us to close it at any time.

10. California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you these rights. We offer them to everyone.

  • Right to know. Ask what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with, and ask for a copy.
  • Right to delete. Ask us to delete it, except what we must keep, such as order records for tax.
  • Right to correct. Ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right not to be discriminated against. Using any of these rights does not change the price you pay or the service you get.

How to ask. Email service@aipromodesign.com from the address on your order or account, and say what you want. We may ask you to confirm details of an order so that we only hand information to the person it is about. Someone you authorize can ask for you, with your signed permission.

We answer within 45 days. If we need longer - once, by up to 45 more days - we will tell you why within the first 45. Requests are taken by email: we operate only online, and email is how you reach every other part of our business.

What we collect, in the law's terms. Over the last 12 months:

Category What that means here Given to
Identifiers Name, email, phone, shipping address, internet address, account ID Stripe, Printify, carriers, Clerk, Resend, Trustpilot (if invited), Google Customer Reviews (email and order number), our hosts
Customer records Name, address, phone, last four digits of the card Stripe, Printify, carriers, our hosts
Commercial information What you ordered, the codes you used, your cart Stripe, Printify, Google Analytics (without your name), our hosts
Internet activity Pages and products viewed Google Analytics, our hosts
Approximate location Region, from your internet address Google Analytics
Photos and text you give us Uploads, prompts, names and numbers lists Google (Gemini), Printify, our hosts

Each is used for the purposes in section 3 and given only to the companies that do that work for us.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as the law defines it, beyond the sign-in details Clerk holds for your account, and we do not use any to infer things about you. We extend these rights to everyone who asks, whether or not the law requires it of a business our size.

11. Children

The site is intended for adults. Adults order apparel for children; children should not create accounts or place orders themselves.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A child's name on a roster or a team shirt comes from the adult who orders it, or who sends it on a sizes link. If you believe a child has given us information directly, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.

13. Contact
