The Profit Math Behind a Booster Club Fundraiser Shirt Sale

Run the real per-shirt profit math for a booster club or PTA fundraiser: fixed prices, no inventory risk, youth and adult sizes in one order.

Before you set a sale price, run the actual numbers. This page is about the money: what a family pays, what the garment costs, and what your program keeps — before a single order comes in. Still lining up sizes, deadlines, and who's collecting the money? See our guide to running a PTA or booster club shirt sale first, then come back here to price it.

Set your price, see your margin

AI PromoDesign's per-piece prices are fixed and public: Adult Tee (heavyweight cotton tee) $24.99, Youth Tee (youth tee) $22.99, Adult Hoodie (heavy blend hoodie) $44.99, Youth Hoodie (youth hoodie) $39.99, Adult Polo (polo) $32.99, Adult Long Sleeve (long sleeve) $28.99. Sell the adult tee at $32 and the club keeps $7.01 a shirt; sell the hoodie at $55 and it's $10.01. Every size — S through 3XL — costs the same per piece, so a parent ordering a 3XL doesn't quietly eat into the fundraiser's margin the way it does with vendors who upcharge extended sizes.

No inventory, no upfront risk

Nothing is warehoused, and nothing prints until it's paid for. There's no minimum order and no box of leftover mediums sitting in someone's garage after the sale ends. The booster club isn't fronting money for stock that might not sell — each order is one real transaction, printed to order by US print-on-demand partners, so the fundraiser can't lose money on unsold inventory because there isn't any.

One sale for the whole school community

Youth and adult sizes, and different garments, sit in the same cart and ship in one order. A single fundraiser link can serve younger siblings in youth tees, students in adult sizes, and staff in polos or hoodies — one design, one checkout, no separate vendor and no second sale just for the adults in the building.

How it runs, start to finish

Describe the design in plain English or upload the team logo; refine it by asking for changes in chat, for free, until it's right. You pay at checkout. Production typically takes 2–5 business days plus shipping, with tracking on every order. Custom prints aren't returnable for a size ordered in error or a change of mind, but if a print is wrong or defective, we reprint or refund it — just send a photo within 14 days of delivery.

Run the numbers on your own sale, then start designing your fundraiser shirt. Need help with order forms, sizing, and deadlines instead? That's covered in our PTA and booster club shirt guide.
