Council has a problem the drama club doesn't: you look exactly like the people you're organizing. Same age, same hallway, same hoodie. So the parent with a checkbook at the dance, the sophomore hunting for the ballot table, the custodian looking for whoever booked the cafeteria — each one asks whoever's standing closest. A shirt answers "who's running this" before anyone has to ask, and it keeps answering when your advisor steps away.
Use the name your school actually uses
Some schools say Student Council; others say Leadership, ASB, or Student Government. Put the words on the shirt that already show up in the morning announcements and on the ballot; a shirt that says one thing while the posters say another makes people hesitate to ask. Officer titles work as a second line, and the term year is worth adding: it tells next year's board that the shirt in the closet isn't theirs. Pick a color no single grade owns
Council speaks for the whole school, so borrowing a color one class has already claimed works against you. If the seniors turn up in Red at every assembly and the freshmen have staked out Royal, officers in either one read like a faction instead of the group running the vote. Navy, Black, Forest, Sport Gray and White stay neutral across grades; Gold is available on select garments. Keep one color all term so September photos and April ones show the same board.
One design for the whole term
A term runs from warm September setup through a January ticket table by a propped-open door to spring elections. Run one design across an Adult Tee ($24.99) and an Adult Hoodie ($44.99), with the Adult Long Sleeve ($28.99) in between; Youth Tee $22.99 and Youth Hoodie $39.99 cover younger reps. Sizes run S-3XL, and every size costs the same per piece. Custom prints can't come back for a size ordered in error; a wrong or defective one gets reprinted or refunded with a photo within 14 days.
Exec board and class reps are two different counts
There's no minimum, so nine exec officers in one design and thirty reps in another are both real orders — so is one shirt for your advisor. Mixed sizes and garments ship together, a youth hoodie for a seventh-grade rep beside an adult 3XL; collecting sizes without chasing people works the same way here. Shirts print to order at US partners in about 2-5 business days plus shipping, with tracking, so order once results are certified — not the week you're running spirit week or selling shirts to raise money.
