Nobody hands a fifteen-year-old a press pass. So when your photo editor kneels on the end line at a Friday game with a borrowed camera and a long lens, the shirt does the work a laminated credential would do for anyone else standing there.

Print the masthead, not a job title

Your publication has a name, and your editors have already argued about how it should be set. That wordmark is the thing worth wearing: which paper or book you're from is the question people actually ask. Set it wide rather than tall, since a camera strap cuts across the chest and swallows anything stacked in the middle. We print the front only during beta, so give the wordmark the whole panel. Light type on Navy or Black stays legible under stadium lights; Sport Gray holds up in daylight at a track meet.

Deadline night has its own dress code

Ladder deadlines don't land at noon. They land at 9 p.m. in a cold room with proofs on the floor and two editors arguing over one caption. That's hoodie territory (Adult Hoodie $44.99, Youth Hoodie $39.99), and so is November at the fence for a playoff game. Photographers who'd rather not shoot in a heavy sweatshirt take the Adult Long Sleeve at $28.99; our custom hoodies page covers the weight difference.

Twelve students, sizes all over the map

A staff is whoever signed up: twelve students, one adviser, sometimes a middle school reporter filing for the feeder page. There's no minimum, so you order your real roster instead of a number someone else set, and youth sizes ride along with adult in the same order. A 3XL costs the same per piece as a small. Mixed garments too: three hoodies, eight tees and one long sleeve, one order. Kitting out other groups next? Start with school club shirts.

Ad sales and distribution day

Yearbook staffs sell ad space, which means students walking into a bakery or tire shop to ask about a quarter page. The Adult Polo ($32.99, S-3XL) is an easier thing to open that door in, and it works again on distribution day. Staff tees run $24.99 adult and $22.99 youth, in Navy, Red, Royal, Black, White, Sport Gray or Forest.

Put it on the ladder

Treat the order like any other deadline. Describe the shirt in plain English or upload the wordmark your editors drew, then chat until it looks right. Designing costs nothing and you pay at checkout. US print-on-demand partners print each piece to order, roughly 2-5 business days in production plus shipping, with tracking. Custom prints can't come back for a size ordered in error or a change of mind; if one arrives wrong or defective, send a photo within 14 days and we'll reprint or refund. More school ordering lives in the school spirit wear guide.
