Spirit Wear Fundraising Math

A PTA clears the difference between the price it charges families and the price we charge, on one pre-order. At a 50% markup, 24 Adult T-Shirts clear $5.37 each.

The worked order below is 24 Adult T-Shirts, 24 Youth T-Shirts, 12 Adult Hoodies, each with one design on the front. Our prices are the bulk prices the checkout charges at those quantities. Shipping to one US address is free. Sales tax, where it applies, is extra. Part of Spirit Wear for Schools and Teams.

What the group clears at each markup

A markup is a percent added to our price. At 50%, the group charges $16.11 for a Adult T-Shirt that costs us $10.74, and keeps $5.37. The three rates below use the same order.

On this order a 50% markup clears $461.76. Collect the money before you order. There is no minimum, so you never have to buy a shirt nobody paid for.

Our price at each quantity

Bulk prices step at 12, 24 and 50 pieces of one item, counted across colors and sizes of that item. These are the checkout's prices for one printed surface. A second surface is extra; the pricing guide prices it.

The same order as a storefront

A free storefront charges families our listed price, ships each order to their door, and pays the group 10% of sales. Bulk prices do not apply. On these 60 pieces, listed-price sales are $1,280.76 and the share is $128.08. The pre-order clears more per shirt. The storefront needs no one to handle money.
